Information

What is Jarda CMS?

Jarda cms is an open source website package for creating and managing websites online. You do not need a subscription to use the software, it is available for FREE.

Instructions

Download the file (via the button at the bottom of the page). Extract the zip file and follow the instructions. These instructions are for a manual installation using FTP, cPanel or other web hosting control panel.

Linux installation

1. Upload all files and folders to your server from the "Upload" folder, place them in your webroot. The webroot is different on some servers, cPanel should be public_html / and on Plesk it should be httpdocs /.

2. Make sure your web user has permission to read, write and run all folders under the webroot.

3. Make sure the following folders and files are writable for Linux / Unix.

chmod 0755 or 0777 config.php
chmod 0755 or 0777 admin / config.php

If 0755 does not work, try 0777.

4. Make sure you have installed a MySQL database to which a user is assigned.

DO NOT USE ROOT USER NAME AND ROOT PASSWORD

5. Visit the homepage of the website, e.g. http://www.example.com or http://www.example.com/site/

6. You will be taken to the installation page. Follow the instructions on the screen.

7. After a successful installation, delete the / install / directory from ftp.

8. If you downloaded the compiled version with a folder called "vendor" - it must be uploaded above the webroot (ie the same folder where the public_html or httpdocs is)

Windows Installation

1. Upload all files and folders to your server from the "Upload" folder. This can be anywhere you choose. e.g. / wwwroot / store or / wwwroot

2. Make sure that for Windows the following permissions for folders and files allow Read and Write.

config.php
admin / config.php

3. Make sure you have installed a MySQL database to which a user is assigned.

DO NOT USE ROOT USER NAME AND ROOT PASSWORD

4. You will be taken to the installation page. Follow the instructions on the screen.

5. After a successful installation, delete the / install / directory.

Local installation

There are many all-in-one web servers and most of them should work out-of-the-box with Jarda CMS. A few examples...

If you want to create multiple websites you can just reinstall the software. Or you can use the built-in multi-site function with which you can manage multiple websites at the same time with one installation.
